Refinery Gas Analysis (RGA)

Refinery gas analysis is commonly used technique to characterize the gases produced during crude oil refining including stack emission, flame and reformate streams.

Our refinery gas analyzer consists of an Agilent 7890B GC equipped with specially configured valves in a separate compartment, optimized micro-packed and capillary columns, a FID and 2 TCDs. Through careful selection of the analytical columns the order of the eluting components is precisely controlled. As a result, only one detector signal must be monitored at a given point in time. This dramatically simplifies operation because only one data acquisition file is created along with a single report easy to read and understand.

Baseline resolution is achieved for 30+ components including the permanent gases, light hydrocarbons through benzene, C4 olefins along with the individual analysis of C6+ compounds. Hydrogen can be measured from ~100 ppm to 99.9%. Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) can also be analyzed.
