Biofuel Analysis

Biodiesel continues to be a practical alternative to fossil fuel. Unlike conventional diesel, which is derived from crude oil, biodiesel is produced from vegetable oils and animal fats. As such, it is safe, renewable, biodegradable and burns relatively clean. It is also compatible with today's diesel engines with little if any modification necessary. And, with the large agricultural centers in the North America, Europe and Asia there is a very large amount of fuel feedstock available.

Although there are a variety of ways to determine biodiesel composition and quality, GC based methods are the most commonly used today.

As a leading provider of application based GC solutions Separation Systems is pleased to offer a broad range of automated biodiesel analyzers to its extensive portfolio.
